Working With Resin
Instructor: JC Milner
Pre-req: Beginning Metalsmithing

This is one of those workshops that will really open doors for your mixed media projects. Two Part Epoxy Resin can capture things like miniature baubles, images, drawings, photos, candy, color, beads and you name it!! Resin drys clear so that you have a looking glass into a scene that you've created! In this workshop we will be making 2 sterling silver bezel pendants. (More if there is time). We will tumble finish the pendants on day one and on day two we will fill the bezels with our immaginations and top them off with the resin. Students will learn how to mix, pour and cure resin and I will introduce you to several different brands. The school has very good ventilation and we will be using the resins under the ventilation hoods. One of the resins is low odor and vapors.
JC will be bringing extra box of baubles that students can purchase for 5 cents to 5 dollars.
The possibilties for creative expression are endless and fun to discover!!
