In this 8 hour workshop, instructor Sara McGraw will teach students the easy way to create spinning rings. Spinning rings are popular sellers that can be customized to fit any style. Spinner Rings are always a fun item of jewelry to produce and wear.
Students will be introduced to the virtually endless options available in creating the spinning ring parts including learning how to twist and modify wire to achieve a unique look.
Students will have time to create several different spinning parts during this workshop. Some students may go home with two rings finished depending on each students skill set.
Some techniques in this workshop will include:
*Learning how to properly use a ball bur to create a texture.
*How to use a ball bur to make the seam invisible.
*How to twist wire and use as a spinner component.
*How to size spinner bands to spin around the ring size.
*How to stretch or reduce spinners that are too small or too large.
*Students will gain the knowledge of flaring both sides of the ring band evenly anticlastic-style.
