Pat has been playing with beads her whole life, but took on the hobby seriously about twenty years ago. At that time, she was in the corporate world, but when she was given transfer opportunities that she was able to refuse, she decided to earn money doing what she loved. She worked at Bead it! for five years, teaching classes and managing the store until she retired in December.
Pat has also been a member of the Rocky Mountain Bead Society, served as Vice President twice, and President for a year. She is also a member of the Bead Bazaar committee. She has taught classes for the Rocky Mountain Bead Society at the Bead Sampler.
Pat has studied under many local and nationally known bead artists including Jeannette Cook, Dale Cougar Armstrong, CeCe Wire, and obtained her PMC Certification from a class taught by Barbara Becker Simon.
Pat’s favorite style of beadwork is bead embroidery, and a piece of her work was published in “The Spirit of Bead Embroidery” by Heidi Kummli.
