Who doesn’t want to add a little color to their jewelry, or maybe your own patterns and images? This class focuses on my technique for drawing on metal with colored pencils. Learn to add color and excitement to your work with my special technique.
In this 5 day class you should finish at least one pendant and several sample pieces. Fabrication techniques will be covered as time allows.
All skill levels welcome.
Please bring your basic hand tools. These include but are not limited to:
Saw blades #4/0
Lubricant for saw blades
Bench Pin (unless they are available in the studio)
1 sheet 80 grit Sandpaper
Ultra flush cutters
Magnifying glasses or Optivisor (if needed)
Half Round file #2 Swiss file (6” or 8”, not a needle file)
Chain Nose Pliers
Non-marring hammer (delron, rawhide, etc.)
X-acto knife and blades
3” X 6” piece of 22ga copper
3” X 6” piece of 22ga brass or sterling silver (for pins, pendants, earrings- optional)
Used (heavily used is best) tooth brushes and a soft cloth such as t-shirt fabric
Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Pencils- they must be “Premier Soft Core” because these are the wax based pigment
