Cheyenne Hughes is a Denver native who first walked through the door of The Naja Tool & Supply in 2009 and has been practicing the art of jewelry making and metalsmithing ever since.
Along the way, he's had the privilege of being an apprentice to one of the top metalsmiths in Colorado, Ira Sherman. His 5 years under Ira were an integral part of his education, helped to shape his understanding of aesthetics, design, and metals as a whole.
In 2015, Cheyenne landed a job working as a bench jeweler under of one of the top jewelers in the State, if not the country, John Sholl of J.F. Sholl Fine Jewelry. It was there that he learned the majority of the jewelry techniques that he uses today, including flush & hammer setting.
Cheyenne worked at The Naja Tool and Supply from Nov 2015 until Jan 2017.
Currently he runs Beast of Burden Jewelry, a small business that offers custom jewelry, jewelry repair, and services to other jewelers such as casting, molding, stone setting, and limited production.
